The air merely means you did not get a perfect seal, but you need not to have a perfect vacuum. The fact that your sealer works fine with the plastic bags that Food Saver or other brands does not mean that it will seal a UMAi Bag. The UMAi Dry bag is also plastic but it “breathes” which allows it to release the water content in the bag.
What you can do is try to locate the leak by pressing your hands press the bag against the meat thus forcing out as much air and not leaving any air pockets. Then at the leak site insert a drinking straw or a piece of tubing in and then grab the bag tightly around the straw or tubing and finish sucking out as much air as you can. When done quickly remove the straw or tubing and tightly close the end using a bread twisty or packing tape.
