A fridge in the garage is a little more than a cooler. If the outside environment is below 65°, the refrigerator does not cycle. It’s just a cold box. You need a modern frost free refrigerator operating in the kitchen or other room temperature environment. It should be regularly opened and closed. Only this will guarantee the refrigerator is cycling, moving the moisture out of the environment and away from the meat.
