Steven AlmasI’m jumping into this late, but I finally bought an Egg about a month ago after researching for the last 6 months. I love it so far, but the first week was awful. I had no idea what I was doing and made some horrible food. After experimenting and reading the greeneggers forum, things got better quickly and I’m happy to say that my meals are now turning out wonderfully. Between my new Egg and my Breville smart oven, I hardly run my full size oven anymore.
I echo the dealer comment, I called around and the prices were all comparable, but when I went into the shop, I got them to package up a nice deal on a large sized Egg. My package included the Egg, Nest, Mate Shelves, Plate Setter, Grate Tool, Multitool, bag of lump and firestarters for $750ish.
As to the comment of other ceramic grills, I looked really hard at Primo and Grill Dome, but got a better deal on the Egg.
