I’m definitely in the same situation. MN. I do have a regular fridge in the garage but as you say – it doesn’t run all winter long. That was why I purchased the smaller one, but it doesn’t seem like it can handle three roasts dry aging in it. We are supposed to get a slight warm up through St Pats day where the temps would be above 40. I’ll put a thermometer in there and see where it is sitting.
