I admit – I got involved in this a long while ago and then life got really busy and I’ve been away.
My Simbo sealer has a loose solder connection somewhere- I have to bang on the top to get it to work- and I don’t know if it’s worth more to try and figure this out, or to just buy a new one.
And I thought I saw something about using a stocking to make the bag adhere to the meat, but it sounds like you’re talking about avoiding the drybag altogether.
There is so much going on that I haven’t seen. Maybe you’re talking about using a drybag, and using hose (and the straw) to get the close adhesion that is recommended. And then let the drybag do its thing as normal.
I’ve missed lots of discussion in the forum. I’m not sure how to catch up.
