Welcome aboard, junker37! Not sure where you got the idea the bag should be folded over as that will not work. If you are saying you want to shorten the bag – yes you can do that, but until you get the hang of it and how your sealer will react I wouldn’t trim it. That way if you have failure you can trim off the offending end and try again rather than to waste all your bags attempting the seal. I recall I must have sealed my first bag 5 or 6 times.
