AnonymousI am puzzled a bit as I have used two of the standard sized clips with no problems. A regular sized clip and the next larger. He can bend it into the triangle, and insert the rounded end of the longer stem into the snorkle itself. It will not affect the draw power of the snorkle tube at all.
I like to slide the clip right over onto the meat itself while drawing the vaccum. Or against the meat to reduce the moisture intake.
Good luck.. and anything will work, try cutting out a piece of thin plastic.
