The Chef’s Choice was acquired for our test kitchen this summer and is working quite well. Of course we don’t have anything to compare it to, since we have never used the Berkel, which is a well known brand. However the Chef’s Choice was sold by Costco online and it says that it is made in Germany, which sometimes means something (when it comes to knives and guns anyway). It comes with a serrated blade and a smooth one for meat.
We will have a video of Prosciuttini slicing on this slicer pretty soon and will post it on the forum.
