problem with sealing bag

Hi!
What channel sealer are you using? Just curious. I have had a few bags that didn’t take, probably my fault. Here is what I do differntley…. …..I am not saying it is correct…..but I have had success. I press the vacuum and seal button…..I then work the bag during the process to get the air out….then stop the vacuum before it seals…and repeat.
