Steve – you probably will be fine BUT it would have been better if you put them into two separate UMAi Bags, but in the future if you and SWMBO wants an immediate steak that night then I suggest you not whack it in half, but cut what you want from one end – AND not from both ends! Believe it or not the meat in an uncut condition has far less chance of getting contaminated from your knife, cutting board or what ever…just the same as long as you used other standard sanitary procedures you probably will be fine.
