I have had problems sealing the Umai bags with my Cabela Commercial Grade vacuum sealer, Geoff. It is perfect for ribbed bags (the ones that Cabela’s sells) but all of my seals failed with the Umai bags. I am going to try again, as the Umai bags will solve my problem of not having a dedicated drying chamber. I believe it’s because the Cabela’s bags are ribbed to allow the removal of air and the Umai bags are too smooth. I tried with the Vac-mouse things, but they too leaked after a few days. I’ll let you know how it goes next time.
