Surface contact question

Welcome aboard, Robert. The degree of contact is the question. I mean some air won’t hurt anything, but before this goes much further cut a small hole in a corner and then press out as much air as you can and then seal with a bread twisty. Another option is after pressing air is there is much left insert a straw or tube and suck out the rest of the air and then again seal with a bread twisty. Ron
