Burton, welcome aboard! What you described was sounding correct up until the “cloth” comment. Not sure where you got that idea and it certainly is NOT what you want to do. Just drain any excess moisture from the cryovac and slip the meat into the UMAi Dry® bag and seal it. You might want to watch one of the how to videos on this forum. Just go to Home up at the top. Please remember for a newbie leave the bag full size and starting doing the sealing. If for some reason you have a problem you still have room to cut off that part and try again. My first time I sealed my first bay 6 times before I got the hang of it! Good luck as ask here if you need help. I hang out here “all the time”. Ron
